Snorkies, Miniature Schnauzer x Yorkshire Terrier hybrids, are known for being tiny, vocal and amusing companions. They make capable watchdogs, although sometimes considered yappy, and will take as much attention as you will give. They are excellent choices for single owners, the elderly and families with older children. This breed is also perfectly sized for those living in small homes or apartments.

As a fairly recent hybrid breed, they aren't very popular so it may be a stretch to find a Snorkie puppies for sale before the litter is reserved! Once you find a reputable breeder, get on the waiting list early (deposit will likely be required). If you cannot find a breeder in your immediate area, many will ship for an additional fee ($250-$450). Those considering adoption may be hard pressed to find a Snorkie at an adoption or rescue agency. 1. Is this type of pet in high demand?
2. Does he/she come with health guarantees, certifications and genetic testing?
3. Is the initial vet visit included and will she be micro-chipped?
4. Will my puppy need to be shipped?
5. Is he a unique size or color?
6. Are the parents pure bred? Are either one of them certified by a Kennel Club?
7. Is there any show dog, especially champion, in the bloodline?

The more questions you answer "Yes" to, the higher you should expect to pay for your Snorkie.
