Where to Get A Sheepadoodle

Sheepadoodles, while excellent family pets, are a huge responsibility. Grooming will require daily upkeep and training must be done early so they don't grow to be over rambunctious. If you think you have what it take then you will be pleased to know it is very easy to find Sheepadoodle puppies for sale online. They are a popular hybrid and there may be breeders in your are that sell Sheepadoodles (adults or puppies). Although always worth a shot (and recommended), it is hard to find members of this breed up for adoption at shelters and rescue organizations.

Mini Sheepadoodles can also be found for sale (along with Micro) but keep in mind, these small varieties often cost more and are sometimes at greater risk for health issues. It is important to choose a reputable breeder from the abundance found online; not all are responsible with their practices. Those that offer health screenings, certifications, guarantees and genetic testings are preferable.

Sheepadoodle Price

Members of this breed are super fluffy and cute, easily trained, friendly, plus good with kids and other pets. It's no wonder that well bred Sheepadoodles can fetch high prices online. The average price is often $1500 up to $2200 per puppy. The most common factor influencing Sheepadoodle cost is the size desired. While standards ring in at $1500-$1800, Miniatures will range from $1800-$2200; Micros are a rare 3rd size (not certified) of Sheepadoodle that tops the scale at about $2200 + per puppy.

Other factors that will increase the price include:

  1. Unique colors- Silver and Tri-colored individuals especially
  2. Bloodlines- are both parents members of recognized breeds? are they show-dogs? champions? or do they come from a lineage that was?
  3. Health- some breeds offer health guarantees where they will take a puppy back or pay a bill for any health issues detected within a certain amount of time. Also genetic testing and certifications such as eye and hip are very valuable.
  4. Shipping- expect to add $300-$400 for this if necessary

Remember if these costs are not within your budget, adopting or rescuing is a beautiful and admirable choice. Although it's rare to find this breed unintentionally produced or abandoned, check with your local shelters, then search for online rescue organizations.
