The Scottish Labrador cross is a mix of the Scottish Terrier and the Labrador Retriever and, although there is plenty of information available on the parent breeds, there isn't much available on the crossbreed itself, including the date and place of origin. The Scottish Labrador inherits many fantastic traits from its parents. They weigh between 25.4 to 68.4 pounds and reach a height of up to 12.2 to 21.4 inches.

Scottish Labrador Breed Description

They are good with youngsters and other pets but because of their size they should be supervised with small children. He is not recommended for families with young children. Early socialization is also key considering that, while the Scottish Labrador is an outstanding family dog, they tend to better with older children unless raised with young ones. They are friendly with older children and pets but should be socialized as puppies to prevent issues with other animals.

Since they are playful, Scottish Labrador are eager chase toys and balls indoors. While they are usually not aggressive dogs, they will do everything in their power to defend you should it be required. In most cases, the combination of these dogs will produce a confident, well-mannered dog, that is large enough to intimidate, but generally has an approachable manner.
