Komondoodle Breed Description

Those that take after the Poodle will be more kindhearted of small children. The Komondoodle is a amazing family pet and gets along great with everyone but should never be left unattended with small children. Although these hybrids are generally amiable and easy-going with humans, they may not be as amicable with other dogs and they tend to have a prey drive, so they may be happiest as the only pet in the household. A Komondoodle is likely to take on many of the traits of their parent breeds so should be a great family pet, though may be better in a home with older children.

This breed needs early socialization to get them to be affectionate around other pets and they may not be a good choice for the dog park. They do tend to bark at anything that makes them nervous or suspicious, if they are just bored, or if they have not had enough exercise to get rid of that excess energy. Others may be aggressive towards other dogs and suspicious of strangers. He can be stubborn, and may not recommend the Komondoodle for first time dog owners.
