Dalmatian Heeler Breed Description

The Dalmatian Heeler can be an affectionate companion that does well in all types of family households. These dogs are highly intelligent and devoted and if socialized at a young age they do get along well with children of all ages, other pets, and humans without aggression. They are an active breed that requires a lot of exercise and a strong leader. They don't do well being left alone for long periods and can develop separation anxiety. They are loyal dogs who are very brave. Since the Australian Cattle Dog and Dalmatian can be moderately active, the Dalmatian Heeler will require regular exercise. A daily walk or a large yard to run around in to burn off energy can keep your canine happy. If they do not get enough exercise, they tend to become bored or anxious and even destructive. The Dalmatian Heeler should start his training and socialization as early as possible to ensure he is a well-rounded adult.

The Dalmatian Heeler is a hybrid, having Dalmatian and Australian Cattle Dog as parent breeds, and can take on the physical characteristics of either or both parent breeds.
