The Akita Newfoundland is a hybrid dog from the Akita and Newfoundland, an attractive canine averaging anywhere from 76 to 146 pounds. While Akita Newfoundland will of course inherit physical characteristics from both parents, it is the Akita traits that are often more visually apparent in these dogs' appearance.
