Affengriffon Breed Description

They do best with the older kids that know how to treat dogs, but will always be calm and simply walk away if they do not like playing with younger children. They are generally fairly good with small children if socialized with them at an early age, but really make better companions for adults and older children due to their occasional possessiveness and bossiness. The Affengriffon is a bright dog who will be playful with his humans, loyal and affectionate. The Affengriffon is affectionate and loyal, alert enough to make an great watchdog, but too affable to be an effective guard dog.

The Affengriffon can get along with anyone, including other pets and children but need to be socialized early on and trained well. Affengriffon are energetic and relatively toy dogs. He will usually get along well with other dogs and generally does not show any dog aggression. This breed is extremely vigilant and territorial over its home space. Just keep in mind that these dogs may be prone to calamitous behaviors if not properly exercised or if left alone too long. Training is not difficult at all and if you are a first time dog owner, you will not only have an easy time but also an enjoyable time raising this dog.
