Where to Get A German Sheprador

The German Sheprador is one of those excellent hybrids that come from two already great dogs: the German Shepherd (GSD) and the Labrador Retriever. According to the American Kennel Club, the Lab has been and remains America's most popular dog while the GSD remains in a close second after several years of holding that second place spot. German Sheprador puppies are great for first-time families, and they get along famously with other pets (canine and most non-canine to boot) as well as can be trained for a great number of tasks from hunting, to guarding, to police work and so much more. German Shepherd Lab mix puppies for sale are inexpensive and apparently easy to breed.

German Sheprador Price

German Shepradors are one of those hybrids that were well-conceived: the strength of the German Shepherd (GSD) and the calm demeanor of the Labrador Retriever — along with the loyalty and devotion of both breeds' personalities — mixes very well. You might think that such a great mix with its hybrid vigor, top-most popularity and many talents would command high prices, but perhaps because of the popularity and resultant proliferation, German Sheprador puppies for sale are reasonably priced, usually from $150 to about $400. Of course, there are those that sell for more, but there seems to be little more than what the individual breeders determine that sets the price. As such, there tend to be only the most basic things that may or may not impact a Sheprador puppy's price.

  • Whether chocolate, pure black or even an oddly mottled gray, the price is rarely above $600, and is often a good bit lower.
  • Puppies that have been socialized from birth may cost a wee bit higher.
  • Shots, de-worming, micro-chipping, health certificates and vet papers seem to be the lion's share of the Sheprador puppy's cost.
  • In the apparently rare event that a champion or award-winning GSD or Lab is one or both of the parents, you may pay a fair amount more for one of their puppies.
