The Sheepadoodle is a hybrid of the Old English Sheepdog and the standard Poodle. together. Not all the traits of the two breeds will be inherited by them — even those that come from the same litter. The herding mentality of the Sheepdog and the proud attitude of the Poodle tend to be regularly found in most all Sheepadoodles. This lends to a companion that is social and confident, making for a great family pet as well as an appropriate addition to a multi pet household.
Despite the long hair, people with allergies will not have problems with the affable Sheepadoodle due to the hypoallergenic quality of the coat; maintenance, however, is not for the lighthearted. They should be trained early and solidly so as to keep them from being rambunctious, and along with very regular exercise. Members of this breed have very few documented health problems. It is strongly recommended to get familiar with Old English Sheepdogs and Poodles if you are seeking to adopt a Sheepadoodle.
