Cairoston Breed Description

Cairostons are a small- to medium-sized breed. Height at the shoulders is typically 13-16 inches, and weight is 10-25 pounds.

This breed is intelligent, gentle, alert, and loyal. Cairostons are family-friendly, but many have somewhat "passive" personalities; they prefer not being the center of attention, and will often keep to themselves. They're social with, but not overly affectionate towards, kids and other pets, and are usually aloof towards strangers. These dogs are fast learners, and despite their small size, they will be good watchdogs because of their attentiveness and curiosity.

Cairostons are low-maintenance animals. Their short, dense coats will only need occasional brushing and bathing, and they need little training. Exercise needs are moderate; an hour of outdoor playtime or a long daily walk should be adequate.

Life expectancy for this breed is 12-15 years. The coat colors can include black, gray, red, white, and black and tan.
