Bostchon Breed Details

The Bostchon has origins from the two parent breeds, the Bichon Frise and the Border Terrier. Bichon Frise are toy-sized dogs and Border Terrier are bred to be small dogs, and as a result, Bostchon can be anywhere from 9.2 to 15 inches high and weigh from 7.8 to 15.2 pounds. Each offspring will inherit different traits from his parent breeds.

The breed is extremely cheerful and playful, and is easily trained. The Bostchon is a playful and affectionate animal with a generally stable temperament. This breed can be aggressive toward strange dogs, but should get along fine with other family dogs and cats if they're raised with them. The Bostchon is loving, curious, and loyal.
While this mix will do well with older children who have respect for dogs, the Bostchon is not well suited for small children who might tease and chase it. The Bostchon has high energy levels and requires daily exercise. They are usually not an aggressive dog and do not make good guard dogs. Loyal, self-assured, and territorial, the Bostchon requires lots of training and socialization. Due to this breeds tiny size, they should not be left alone or unsupervised around larger dogs.
